Kudos to
the Academy Awards last night; two awards for
An Inconvenient
Truth! There IS hope
when the importance of our environmental awareness
and activism gets this much attention! ...
particularly when we take to heart that we're
interconnected (and several speeches last night
emphasized this in different ways, with lots of
gratitude).
We watched the awards with a couple of friends last night, and we were joking that next year, in addition to the comments about celebrities arriving in their luxury hybrid cars (almost seems like an oxymoron
, perhaps they will comment on the
sustainable, environmentally friendly fashions
and jewelry... In the media glitter of
superficial celebrity, there is plenty of
evidence of real people who happen to work in
that industry who genuinely care about their
craft, as well as making positive contributions
with it!
