Thanks to Lani R. for giving me an
excuse to dig out my old homebrew electronics
(more like Rube Goldberg actually but it works)
plus a kit from Edmund Scientific that comprises
my funky, unique Kirlian photo setup.

Crater Lake

I had the pleasure of taking my brother-in-law John
and two nephews (Johnny and David) to
Crater Lake National
Park
today. Here are a few photos du jour
The French Onion soup and the
exquisite colors of blue on the water were a
couple of the highlights we enjoyed. As you can
see, John is still recovering from a wild
kangaroo ride (or something like that) from a
recent trip down under.

Gorgeous Day at Touvelle State Park

Nancy
& I had a fine stroll along the Rogue River
yesterday at Touvelle State
Park, hobnobbing with
the ducks, osprey, and lots of fluffy cottonwood
seeds adrift in the air. Here's a photo she took
of me on an oak limb.

Sunday midwinter drive in the Rogue Valley - Cattail
photo

Today we decided to go for a Sunday midwinter drive
in the Rogue Valley to one of our favorite breakfast
spots, the Breadboard in Ashland, followed by a
leisurely meander through the back roads around
Phoenix & Talent, taking pictures of orchard
signs and enjoying the unseasonably pleasant day.
Here's a snap of some cattails, spreading their wispy
genetics across the terrain... a lovely
morning!
Crop Circle Science and Orb Photos

Great
synchronicity; I got an email from a new friend (here
is Lisa's blog) about her
experience with orbs, and I just got back from a
superb lecture this evening sponsored by
RVML on crop circles
by world expert Nancy Talbott. In addition to
her first rate scientific plant and soil science
research, she has an impressive amount of what's
becoming known as "orb photos". There is going to
be a Prophet's Conference on the
orbs soon; I imagine
it will be fascinating!
Some of my favorite photographs from world travels
and closer to home ,,, and beyond

You can
find a selection of some of my favorite photographs
here... These include
photos from New Zealand,
Costa Rica,
Egypt, the
Sierra Nevadas
in
California, and elsewhere... as well as
Kirlian photography
&
of course sacred geometry art
and
my POV-Ray interpretations of John
Martineau's brilliant solar system geometric
models from
A Little Book of
Coincidence. I've enjoyed
shutterbugging since high school and see it as a
means of sharing the inspirations from the awesome
mystery and majesty of nature in a way that speaks
soul-to-soul, for much the same reasons that I
have been impelled to learn about what is now
referred to as "sacred
geometry" since my
adolescent days as well.
